Alto Pro Am
A surf contest that does not take itself seriously: competitors draw a random secondhand board before every heat, so style and adaptability beat power surfing. It runs in the second half of September, when Ericeira's reefs and beaches are just waking up, and the evenings fill with film premieres, live music and parties. One of the most enjoyable weeks on the Ericeira calendar to be in town for.
