Santa Cruz
A long, open beach between Peniche and Ericeira, with tall rock stacks offshore and a spread of peaks. Exposed and consistent, quieter than its famous neighbours, and it works for every level depending on size.
Santa Cruz sits roughly halfway between Peniche and Ericeira, a resort town on a long beach with the distinctive rock stacks of Penedo do Guincho standing offshore. It catches swell reliably and spreads a crowd well.
The wave
Beach-break peaks along the sand, with the banks near the rocks often the best. On a small day it is a friendly all-levels wave with schools working the inside. On a bigger autumn or winter swell the outside peaks have proper push and the rips pick up.

Everyone, at the right size. Beginners on the small clean days, intermediates and up when it has some swell.
When
W to NW swell, E wind. It is rideable most of the year, and it is a good call in autumn and spring when Ericeira and Peniche are busiest.
