A surf and bodyboard school based right on Praia Grande at Colares, the wide, consistent beach break under the Sintra hills.
Praia Grande Surf School is based on Avenida Alfredo Coelho in Colares, right on Praia Grande, the wide beach break below the Sintra hills, and teaches on the beach it is named after. It is open from 9:00 to 19:00.
Lessons
Group lessons, private lessons and lesson packages, plus surf week programmes for young people that mix surfing, bodyboarding and games. All surf and bodyboard equipment is available to rent.
Instructors
Instructors hold the professional licence from the Instituto Portugues do Desporto e Juventude, and the school and its instructors are certified by the Federação Portuguesa de Surf. The school displays Turismo de Portugal's Clean and Safe seal.
