The Surf Experience
One of Portugal's oldest surf operations, running from Lagos since 1992, with all-inclusive surf weeks, coaching, surf guiding and yoga.
The Surf Experience started in 1992 and is one of the longest-running surf operations in Portugal, based in the centre of Lagos. It runs surf school and surf camp weeks, surf guiding, and premium longboard and shortboard coaching, with transport to the beaches included.
Surf weeks
Every week includes all lessons, beach transport, a surf video analysis session on Thursdays, breakfast and a vegetarian lunch on the beach. Specialist weeks include surf safaris, longboard weeks and a surf boot camp with a pro coach.
Staying here
Rooms in The Surf House, private en-suites in town and hotel options. Yoga runs through the season, with free yoga weeks each month; massage and surf photography can be booked on arrival.
When it is flat
Stand-up paddleboarding, skate surfing and day trips. The school shows the Portuguese Surf Federation, Turismo de Portugal and Algarve Surf Schools Association logos on its site.
