Norte
The coast either side of Porto, from Matosinhos down to Furadouro. Cold, exposed and consistent, with long city beaches, harbour-wall setups and a hard local core. Less pretty than the south, but it works when the rest of the country is small. Coverage here is light for now.

The northernmost city on this coast, at the mouth of the Lima river. Across the estuary, Cabedelo beach is one of the best-known kite and windsurf spots in Portugal.
